Caring for Your New Lagerstrom 8" Chef's Knife
I hope you love your new knife. It's made to stay sharp and serve you well for years to come. Here’s how to keep it in top shape:
Washing Your Knife:
- Hand wash your knife with warm water and dish soap - OR -
- Wash it in the dishwasher. Just make sure to remove the knife immediately after the cycle and dry it completely.
Keeping It Sharp:
- Your knife is designed to stay sharp for a long time, but eventually, all knives need a little tune-up. When that time comes, use a honing rod for regular maintenance or a whetstone for a deeper sharpen.

- Store your knife in a safe place – like in the original box, a knife block, or a magnetic strip. Basically, anywhere other than tossed loose in a drawer.
- Remember, this knife is made from softer steel, which means it’s more prone to little dings and nicks if it's not properly stored.
